Chappell of Bond Street/Yamaha London have announced a series of chamber music concerts to be held throughout February, March and April in their recital room housed within Yamaha London at Chappell in Wardour Street Soho.
The events, hosted by the newly formed Yamaha Artists Services team will showcase some of the UK's most talented and acclaimed musicians, many of whom have already participated in Yamaha's popular lunchtime conservatoire concert series.
The concerts, all free of charge will open with two concerts in February commencing with acclaimed pianist Luis Parés and violinist Giovanni Guzzo on the 3rd with a programme that includes sonatas by Beethoven and Strauss. The 28-year-old Venezuelan/ Italian pianist is now in much demand as a soloist and chamber musician around the world and has recently performed at many prestigious UK venues including Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, and the Bridgwater Hall. In 2002 Violinist Giovanni Guzzo was granted a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music and has recently also worked with Sir Colin Davis, Sir Peter Maxwell Davies and Joshua Bell.
This recital is followed on February 17th with a performance from the outstanding young cellist Joas Cardoso with piano accompaniment. Brazilian born Joas has been studying with Richard Markson at Trinity College of Music since 2002 where he graduated in 2007, he now continues on the Masters course whilst developing his career as a soloist and a chamber musician.
March sees three further concerts starting with a recital on the 3RD with Manuel López on piano and cellist Alisa Liubarskaia .

Tokyo born Kumi Liley is the manager of Yamaha Artist Services Europe in London and she comments “We want to become a vibrant player within London's world class music scene and we hope these Chamber concerts will introduce new audiences to live classical music in an intimate and up-close setting. The series will also provide exposure and publicity for some of the UK's very best emerging classical musicians."
The London based artist centre of Yamaha Artists Services Europe is part of a global network spanning Paris, New York, Tokyo, Beijing, Taipei, Shanghai and Seoul. These facilities function as vibrant international hubs providing musicians, teachers, promoters and students access to the best quality concert instruments matched by top-level technical service. Throughout 2009 the centre will host a wide range of events and activities in association with promoters, record labels and conservatoires including lunchtime concerts, evening events and master-classes. Seating for the Chamber at Chappell series is inevitably limited and early booking is strongly recommended
