Syuzanna Kaso - (Piano): is a Hungarian pianist who was born in the Ukraine. She began her musical education at the age of six at the Uzhgorod State Music School. She continued her studies at Kiev's Special Secondary Music Boarding School, studying under Professor Valery Kozlov, with whom she also graduated from the National Music Academy of Ukraine. She has has taken part in many masterclasses and coaching sessions with musicians including, Vladimir Krainev, Andras Schiff , Peter Donohoe, Malcolm Bilson, Balazs Szokolai, John o’Conor, Garry Hoffman, Nelson Goerner and Michel Beroff.
Syuzanna has been a prize winner in a number of competitions, winning 1st prize at the A. Zatin International Piano Competition, the Grand Prix at the XXIst Century Hopes International Competition in the Ukraine and was awarded a Medalla in the Maria Canals Competition in Barcelona (2006). In 2008 and 2010 Syuzanna won the Dunaffer Award which gave her the support to continue her higher education.
Due to this award, in the spring of 2010 she had the opportunity to work with Hungary’s most renowned violinist, Maga Zoltan. In 2010/11 she was awarded the Silverstone Bursary and the F W Wright Scholarship and the RNCM Entrance Scholarship to continue her studies in the Royal Northern College of Music under Graham Scott. In November 2010 Syuzanna also won the RNCM „Beethoven Prize”.
Syuzanna has participated in festivals in the Bartok Festival in Budapest, Mozarteum in Salzburg, Tbilisobo in Tbilisi, Regina & Vladimir Horowitz Presents and Summer Music Evening in Kiev, and Pianotexas supported by Cliburn Foundation in Forth-Worth.
Syuzanna’s performing career has taken her all over the world, appearing in the Purcell Room in London, Petit Palau in Barcelona and Sala Sao-Paolo in Brazil.
This performance is free of charge and will take place in the Recital Room of Yamaha Artist Services Europe (London), situated within the historic Piano Hall at Chappell of Bond Street’s West End store.
