Please join us on Thursday 24th November at 1pm at our Wardour Street store to hear the pianist Kristi Kapten (RSAMD) in recital.
Presented in association with Yamaha pianos, these recitals provide a wonderful opportunity for highly gifted young artists to perform at a superb venue as well as offering an insight into the extraordinary wealth of talent being nurtured in our conservatoires. And there are few better opportunities to hear Yamaha’s stunning handcrafted Premium Pianos played at concert level in the UK.

The Artist:
Kristi Kapten - (Piano): Kristi Kapten was born in Estonia in 1986. She started her musical education at Tallinn Music High School at the age of seven. From 2006 to 2010 she studied piano at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with Prof. Peep Lassmann.
Since 2010 she is a Master student at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, where she is studying under a scholarship with Prof. Fali Pavri. Kristi has given many recitals in Estonia and Scotland, and has participated in competitions both as a soloist and a chamber musician.
Kristi was a semi-finalist in the Estonian National Piano Competition in 2008 and has won 2nd and 1st prizes in the EAMT chamber music competitions in 2007 and 2010. Kristi has performed as a soloist with the EAMT Symphony Orchestra and the RSAMD Symphony Orchestra, with conductors Paul Mägi and Jessica Cottis. In 2010 she won the Jock Holden Memorial Prize for Mozart and in 2011 she was awarded 3rd prize in the RSAMD Bamber/Galloway Competition.
This performance is free of charge and will take place in the Recital Room of Yamaha Artist Services Europe (London), situated within the historic Piano Hall at Chappell of Bond Street’s West End store. 
Final admittance to each recital is 12.55pm.
