Features

Touch-sensitive keys allow expressive dynamic control

Play the keys heavily and you'll get louder tones, or play softly to achieve quieter sounds. The touch-sensitive keyboard will accurately reflect every nuance of your playing, making your performances expressive and more enjoyable to play.

The better an instrument sounds, the more it inspires us

As the maker of a variety of real musical instruments, we pride ourselves on the quality of each sound in the PSR-E363.

A diverse array of 574 high quality Voices reproduce the characteristic of each instrument more in detail, and allow you to enjoy playing any music genres.

Real-time backing band tracks

165 auto accompaniment Styles provide realtime band backing tracks based on the chords you play.

Keys to Success and other on-board lessons support learning to play

Keys to Success is based on learning techniques developed by music teachers over many years. Through short and easy, step-by-step lessons, beginner keyboard players can learn how to play entire songs.

To help build your skills, the new Touch Tutor takes the mystery out of learning dynamic expression.

Download the Song Book to read the music for the built-in Songs

The Song Book includes not only the musical scores of the built-in songs, but also provides tips for the onboard lessons with images, glossary and more.

Customise your sound using digital effects and Master EQ

12 new Reverb effects add ambience to your playing making it sound like you're in a concert hall, a small club or a cathedral. Chorus adds warmth and makes the sound more spacious. The Master EQ is easily adjusted to get the best sound depending on whether you are listening through headphones, the builtin speakers or connected to an external sound system.

Arpeggios let you perform complex passages with ease

Choose from 150 Arpeggio phrases, and with the press of a single key, you'll be playing rich, musical passages. You'll sound like a pro!

Play with a partner

Duo mode allows two people to play together on the same instrument by creating two middle C notes. Enjoy playing the piano with friends and family!

Play along with your favourite songs

Connect your portable music player to hear your favorite music through the instrument's speakers. Play along and you feel like you've joined the band!

Answer

Hi,

Thank you for your message. I can confirm that this Keyboard comes with a Music Rest.

Kind regards,

Answer

Hi Tony, thanks for your interest in our home keyboards. The PSR-E363 has 61 keys (5 octaves).

If you're looking for a home keyboard with more keys, an alternative might be the PSR-EW300 which has 76 notes:

(Usually, an upright or grand piano has 88 keys.)

Answer

Thank you for your interest in our PSR-E363 Home Keyboard. We've included a range of backing accompaniments (drums + instrumental backings which we call 'Styles') which cover a wide range of musical genres - from ballroom dance to Electronic Dance Music (EDM). Additionally, the PSR-E363 has a range of different sounds and sound effects ('Voices') in keeping with those backings.

For EDM, the next model in the range, the PSR-E463 offers real-time synthesizer-like filter controls and generally higher sound quality. For the ultimate in sound quality, range of backings and authenticity, try our flagship PSR-S or Genos models.

Answer

Hi Malcolm, thank you for your interest in our PSR-E363. The PSR-E363 does have on-board speakers - these are fine for home use but unlikely to be powerful enough for performances in larger rooms, halls or outdoor spaces.

If needed, you can use the 'PHONES/OUTPUT' socket to take a stereo signal from the PSR-E363 into a PA system or external monitor speaker. Please be aware that the PSR-E363 doesn't have a 'mono mode' as our higher end models do; this means that if you use a mono PA or single speaker, sound quality may not be optimal for sounds which use stereo samples.

Answer

The PSR-E363 actually offers more advanced compatibility with iPhones and iPads - like its predecessor, MIDI data is sent back and forth via the USB-To-Host port. Unlike it's predecessor, the PSR-E363 also sends digital audio at the same time - making it much more straightforward to record into apps such as Cubasis and Garageband.

Answer

Hi Catherine,

Thank you for your question and interest in the PSR-E363 Home Keyboard. In short, yes:

The PSR-E363's USB-To-Host port allows you to transmit both the MIDI (notation) data and audio (sound) from the keyboard to compatible recording app on a Mac, iOS device or Windows PC.

Assuming the recording app allows you to export an audio file (almost all do), you'd then be able to put that audio file onto a music playing device (eg phone, iPod et al).

Assuming the music player has a conventional output, you can connect it to the PSR-E363's AUX IN socket and play the audio file through the keyboard's speakers (or a PA system connected to the keyboard's OUTPUT socket).
