Peter Ciobanu was born in Romania in 1991, with a fierce passion for the piano and a natural talent towards it . He graduated “Victor Brauner”Music High School in Romania , being now a student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in his 3rd year.

During his career his target was to entertain audiences in such manner that they will listen to a very serious classical repertoire followed by his interest in the Romanian music which he finds “addictive to listen” to . In his early ages he started a collaboration with the “Musica in Amicizia” Music Foundation which offered him engagements around the world, having toured with concerts in Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, USA and UK.

After being offered full scholarship at the “Royal College of Music” , “Trinity College” and the “Royal Conservatoire of Scotland” Peter chose to continue his undergraduate studies in Scotland, and his ambition offered him along the way many other opportunities to play in many different prestigious places such as the “Royal Festival Hall” on the 22nd of May 2011, where he performed on the same stage with Lang Lang, being selected to play as a soloist in front of the immense auditorium of 3000 people, and in June , same year, he performed a concert at the prestigious “Mozarteum” Conservatoire in Szalsburg , in front of a very fine audience with professional pupils and world class pianists.

He studied along the way in masterclasses and summer schools with Philip Fowke, Murray McLachlan, Philip Martin, Pascal Roge and Idil Birret, now taking lessons from the Head of Keyboard from the RCS , Aaron Shorr.
