South Korean-born pianist, MinJung Baek is currently studying at Accademia Pianistica Internazionale “Incontri col maestro” di Imola with Leonid Margarius, a pupil of Regina Horowitz (a sister of V. Horowitz). She started studying the piano at the age four, and showed her talent immediately at her first competition at age five and she had won more than fifty times in Korea national competitions such as Wol-Eum Piano Competition, Cho-Sun Ilbo Music Competition, Music Education News Competition (Grand Prize), Eum-ak Chun-chu Competition, Eum-Youn Piano Competition, Korea-Germany Brahms Association Competition, Su-Ri Music Competition, Han-Kook Ilbo Music Competition, Kyung-Hee University Competition.

After graduating from Seoul Arts High School with high distinction, in 2004 she was awarded the prestigious Mannes Presidential Scholarship for her further studies at Mannes College of Music in NewYork City with the renowned American Pianist, Jerome Rose (, after 6months, she won the top prize at 2005 Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition in USA, which led her US debut concert playing Rachmaninoff 2nd Piano Concerto under Director Daniel Boico with Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra at North Shore Performing Arts Center. Later, she has also had great success in 2007 Italy Pedara Competition, 2008 Christopher Duke International Piano Competition in UK (4th & High Distinction prize), 2009 Giuliano Pecar Piano Competition in Gorizia,Italy and 2006 Rachmaninoff Piano Competition,Catania,Italy which provided her concerts playing Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No.1,No.2 & Paganiani Rhapsody in one concert in Ukraine and Italy in 2007 and the concerts and her interview were broadcasted through Ukraine national TV station.
