Inga Liukaitytė - (Piano): is a second-year piano student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. Since 2011 she has been working towards her Bachelor of Music degree in Fali Pavri’s class, on a four year scholarship.
Inga was born in 1992 in Kaunas, Lithuania. She started playing the piano at the age of 4 in Kaunas Juozas Naujalis Music Gymnasium, under the guidance of Audronė Paškauskienė. Later she studied in Birutė Kumpikienė’s class and graduated school in 2011.
While still studying at Kaunas Juozas Naujalis Music Gymnasium, Inga won various international piano competitions in Italy, Czech Republic, Romania, Greece, France and Lithuania and gave public concerts in Kaunas and Vilnius. She also played as a soloist with Kaunas Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Modestas Pitrėnas.
Inga has taken part in master classes with prominent pianists including Christopher Elton, Graham Scott, Alexey Grynyuk (United Kingdom).
Besides solo performance, she enjoys playing in chamber ensembles and collaborating with singers. In her first year at the Royal Conservatoire Inga won the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra audition for orchestral piano and participated in the Music Nation Concert for the Olympics in the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow. She also played in Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Symphony Orchestra, participating in a concert in the City Halls.
Inga also took part in the Conservatoire’s 2012 Piano festival playing in an ensemble of 8 piano duets.
Inga’s LCCS recital at Chappells will be her London debut.
