Music lovers - and Oscar Peterson fans in particular - are in for a real treat on November 15th when the historic Piano Hall at Chappell of Bond Street hosts A Musical Portrait of Oscar Peterson.
James Pearson and Tom Cawley, two of the best known and most highly acclaimed pianists in British jazz will host this major London Jazz Festival event.
The concert is supported by Bösendorfer pianos - Oscar's favourite piano at the height of his popularity - and will see James (Artistic Director at the world famous Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club and a recognised authority on Oscar Peterson) and Tom Cawley pay homage to one of the greatest pianists of all time.
The concert will chart a musical timeline through Oscar Peterson's best loved music, from his early days right through to his heyday as one of the world's most popular, enduring and respected musical giants. Two pianoswill be used and James and Tom promise a hugely entertaining and informative evening with humorous anecdotes and amazing music.
