James PearsonOn 15th November from 4pm to 6pm, James Pearson - the UK's leading jazz pianist - will be running a Jazz Piano Workshop during which he'll be letting an audience into many of the secrets of improvisation and Jazz piano technique.

Preceding an evening concert paying tribute to jazz legend Oscar Peterson, the workshop offers the opportunity to watch a special two-hour jazz piano masterclass led by James Pearson. Young pianists from schools and conservatoires across London will be encouraged by James to delve deeper into the magic of jazz performance and improvisation - taking their skills to a new level. Featuring a host of tips which will help players improve their technique and understanding of jazz, it’ll be an invaluable experience for pianists and audiences alike.

This workshop is free of charge and will also take place in the Piano Hall at Chappells in Wardour Street in the heart of Soho. As with the evening show, tickets are limited and early booking via the Chappell of Bond Street website is strongly advised.
