This dramatic show, full of magic, intrigue and comedy, is a marvellous introduction to the story of Shakespeare's play The Tempest.

Prospero, a magician, seeks justice for a terrible wrong done to him years ago. Marooned on a desert island with his daughter Miranda, Prospero uses his power to cause a storm and a shipwreck. When those who wronged him are washed up on the island, Miranda sees another human being (Ferdinand) for the first time in her life.

She is horrified that her father has caused Ferdinand such suffering, but eventually she sees that justice has been done, and everyone is set free from the past by Prospero's forgiveness.
