The Córdoba Stage Black Burst is a modern solid body nylon string electric guitar, purpose-built for live performance and contemporary players. Featuring a chambered solid mahogany body with a solid spruce top and an exotic flamed maple veneer, this nylon string electric guitar delivers a clear, focused tone with warm lows, strong projection, and excellent dynamic response, finished in a striking Black Burst. Designed for stage use, the lightweight 38mm chambered body enhances resonance while ensuring comfort, and a soft cutaway allows easy access to higher frets. The Fusion neck profile, with a 48mm nut width, offers a slimmer, more familiar feel for steel-string and electric guitar players transitioning to nylon string, while the ebony fingerboard with binding ensures smooth, precise playability.
Developed in collaboration with Fishman, the Stage Pickup System combines an under-saddle transducer with internal body sensors to deliver a natural, balanced nylon string tone without the harshness typically associated with piezo pickups. Onboard volume, EQ, and Body Blend controls provide flexible tone shaping for live performance and studio environments. Premium features include a painted pau ferro headstock overlay with a mother-of-pearl Córdoba Arches logo, ebony control knobs with position markers, and refined detailing throughout. STAGE BODY & FUSION NECK
The Stage Black Burst guitar features the Córdoba Stage body, which was specifically designed with live performers in mind. Its 38mm (1 1/2") deep body is constructed of solid mahogany, strategically chambered to reduce weight and increase resonance, and capped with a solid spruce top. A soft body cutaway provides increased comfort and easy access to higher frets. The Stage Black Burst guitar’s unique Fusion neck is slightly thinner and narrower than conventional nylon-string guitar necks, offering a playing experience closer to that of a steel-string guitar.
SOLID SPRUCE TOP WITH EXOTIC TOP VENEER
The Stage Black Burst showcases Córdoba’s Exotic Top design: an ultra-thin premium flamed maple veneer applied to a solid spruce top, providing the ideal balance of tone and beauty—and in this case with an eye-catching Black Burst top finish. The guitar’s solid mahogany body combined with a solid spruce top produces a clear and focused yet warm tone, including rich lows enhanced by fanned top bracing. The combination also results in exceptional responsiveness to playing dynamics across a broad range.
STAGE PICKUP SYSTEM
The Stage Black Burst features the Stage Pickup System co-developed with Fishman. It pairs an under-saddle transducer with internal body sensors, a combination that produces a warm, clear, authentic nylon-string tone with exceptional balance and also eliminates the “quack” typically associated with piezo pickups. A professional-quality preamp with easily accessible Volume, EQ, and Body Blend controls provides even more precise tone shaping, which can come in handy when adjusting to differing venues.
