Yamaha CS8W Boom Cymbal Stand
The CS8W boom cymbal stand features new mechanisms developed for attaching and detaching cymbals, achieving speedy setup and rich cymbal resonance. The tilter parts have also been improved for even greater stability.

Features
Quick Release Nut (Pat. Pend.)
By pinching the movable part on the side of the quick-release nut, you can attach and detach it instantly, making cymbal installation quick and effortless. Once attached, turn and tighten the nut to adjust the cymbal's swing and resonance to suit your preferences. It also has a unique locking mechanism built in that securely holds the cymbal in place, providing excellent stability, allowing you to concentrate on playing without worrying about cymbals coming loose. In addition, the screw is made of durable metal, assuring long-lasting reliability even with the most intense playing.
Sound Enhanced Cymbal Washer (Pat. Pend.)
The SECW washer features a hybrid construction consisting of a soft foam rubber outer layer (black section) and a firmer silicone rubber core (blue section). This unique combination maximises the cymbal's natural resonance, allowing it to vibrate more freely and project its full tonal character.
For even greater sustain, simply remove the outer foam rubber and mount the cymbal using only the inner silicone core. This flexible design lets drummers easily customise their preferred response for any cymbal.
Frequency analysis data showed clear improvement from recordings made using a conventional felt washer, as found on previous cymbal stand series, and the SECW washer employed on the CS8 and CS7 cymbal stands. Compared with a traditional felt washer, the SECW washer (foam rubber + silicone core) delivers increased low-frequency output and enhanced sustain. When the cymbal is mounted using only the silicone core, both volume and sustain are further improved across the entire frequency spectrum.
With the SECW washer drummers can now tailor the cymbal response to suit different cymbal characteristics, musical styles, performance environments, and personal preferences.
Step Free Tilter
The stepless cymbal tilter allows smooth, infinite angle adjustment, letting you set your cymbal exactly where you want it. This provides greater comfort and freedom while performing.
Hinged Boom Tilter Clamp
The newly developed hinged tilter clamp’s shape has been optimised through meticulous analyses and refinement.
It securely fastens the boom arm on three sides, and only requires light tightening to provide sufficient holding power.
In addition, the memory lock mechanism holds the cymbals firmly in place, allowing for confident playing.
Wing Bolt / Wing Nut
While maintaining a traditional design, the shape has been refined to reduce strain on the hands even when tightened firmly, to ensure comfortable handling during even the longest sessions.
Boom/Straight Convertible Tilter Mechanism
By storing the boom arm inside the upper pipe, the stand can also be used as a straight stand. This design makes it more compact when carried, improving portability and setting convenience.
