DISCONTINUED - CPX700 II 12-String Electro-Acoustic Guitar

Why we love it…

The more traditional CPX is great for any purpose – from acoustic use at home or in the studio to full-on stage performance. Powerful, musical acoustic tone and great playability sit perfectly with natural, controllable plugged-in sound while subtler new finishes stop short of APX's modern looks but offer more personality than traditional acoustic guitars.

Features

CPX Soundhole :

RoundCPX's conventional round soundhole focuses the midrange, while controlling bass, for a direct, powerful sound.

ART Pickup System A.R.T. (Acoustic Resonance Transducer technology)

Unique multilayer structure achieves optimum dynamic balance. Yamaha electric acoustic guitars have consistently used piezo pickups to reproduce the pure sounds of the acoustic guitar. But piezo pickups tended to overreact to changes in attack, which in turn caused distortion. To achieve ideal playability, we had to improve the way that these dynamics were controlled. To provide a solution to this issue, the new pickup was designed with a multilayer structure consisting of six layers of different materials. This dampens excessive vibration from the topboard while picking up small resonances to achieve ideal sensitivity and outstanding dynamic balance. Also, because the pickup is fitted directly beneath the topboard, it functions as a transducer attached to the body, so the natural resonance of the guitar is faithfully reproduced.

Body depth and Bracing Pattern

The medium-jumbo body CPX delivers and open, modern tone with powerful, rich low-end, smooth, delicate highs, and sweet open mids. Non-scalloped X-bracing ensures a strong, rich acoustic tone that remains clear and well-defined on any stage.
