Smart Pianist
Originally designed for our CSP range of smart pianos, we’ve now rolled this out across a wide range of pianos right the way from Arius, through Clavinova, and up to our Avant Grands. Smart Pianist is a more user-friendly, visual way of selecting sounds and tweaking them, and adding some handy features like recording, learning, and being able to store your favourite settings for real at any time. It just makes things so much easier. The app is super-smart and will automatically recognise which piano it’s connected to, adapting the interface to match.
Piano Dairy
Keep track of your practice. This will log each day and allow you to play back your practice and your daily improvements (hopefully!) For those who find practice somewhat boring, there are some neat little rewards for completing your practice goals.
My Recorder
I love this app. You can video yourself playing, but as well as recording the audio, My Recorder also stores a MIDI track of your playing. If you play the video back while the piano is connected, it’ll send the MIDI back and play your piano in sync with the video. Simple, and immense fun!
SoundControl
Ever wish you had pitch bend and modulation wheels on your keyboard or piano? Well, now you have. Connect up your phone and SoundControl gives you virtual pitch and mod wheels! Delve a little further, and you can do all sorts of other stuff by assigning different functions to the virtual wheels. A little filter and resonance? No problem!
Flowkey
Think of this as a sort of Spotify for learning. It’s a subscription service that gives you access to a huge selection of songs. It’ll show you the notes, which keys to play, and which finger to use, and will even wait for you. Most songs have different versions from beginner to intermediate, so when you’ve mastered one level, just move up to the next. There’s a set of general tutorials to work through, too. Better still, with most of our digital keyboards and pianos, get the premium service for three months FREE of charge.
ChordTracker
This is an extremely useful app. This will take a song stored on your phone or tablet and work out the chords. It’ll also work out where the sections change and colour code them, so you can see where each verse and chorus starts just by glancing at the chord chart on you screen. Now you’re all ready to play along. But maybe you prefer it a little slower. Fine - just move the tempo slider. How about changing the key? Easy for ChordTracker. Move the Transpose slider and it’ll shift the chords, and the song, so even the singer will be in the right key for you. You can send the chord data to some of our arranger keyboards, and used with our Sonogenic Keytars, you can jam-along to all your favourites without worrying about the chords!
