Yamaha's Unique ARMODYNAMIC™ Driver Employing ZYLON™
With a name derived from the Italian term “armonia,” referring to musical “harmony,” the ARMODYNAMIC™ driver was newly developed specifically for the YH-C3000. The driver utilises a unique diaphragm moulded into a three-layer structure featuring composite materials such as paper and resin, and includes PBO fiber ZYLON™, the same material also used in diaphragms of Yamaha's HiFi flagship speakers. By harmonising the important elements for a diaphragm, such as light weight, rigidity and optimal internal loss, the driver achieves exceptionally smooth sound with high resolution and fast response.

Newly Developed Driver Unit Incorporating Proprietary Technology
In order to properly harmonise the sound with the newly developed diaphragm, the driver unit has also been carefully conceived and developed. The ventilation on the back and the patented Y-shaped reinforced mesh damper provide extraordinary clarity and minimal distortion while maintaining low-frequency volume. In addition, the pure iron pole, which is crucial to the speaker unit's driving force, enhances the specially fast sound response and powerful punchiness.
Wooden Housing For Rich, Naturally Resonant Sound
The wooden housing of the YH-C3000 is made of premium-quality beech, which is also employed in Yamaha’s grand pianos. Being light in weight, highly rigid, and achieving a natural and uncoloured sound, beech wood fully maximises the strength of the ARMODYNAMIC™ driver, contributing to its excellent sound resolution and speedy response.
