Features
The desktop-friendly Line 6 POD X3 represents the exciting evolution of the classic bean-shaped digital guitar amp modeller, with an expanded array of 78 guitar amps, from high-wattage heavyweights to boutique beauties and vintage treasures. Guitar amp models are just the beginning: With 24 guitar cabs, 98 stompbox and studio effects, 28 bass amps, 22 bass cabs and six vocal preamps - POD X3 comes complete with the all-around sonic firepower of a top-tier major-label studio, ready to tackle guitar, bass vocals and beyond. What’s more, its larger LCD and smart new editing workflow pages make it easier than ever to find, tweak and save tones. POD X3 also offers powerful new Dual Tone processing and routing options. Split your single-input guitar or bass signal through two different amp and effect chains simultaneously to create gorgeous new hybrids, or use the dual inputs on POD X3 to individually process two instruments - a microphone and a guitar, for example - at the same time. Whether you’re playing through a P.A., amp or recording rig, plug your microphone into the XLR input on the POD X3 to make vocals and acoustic guitars sound their absolute best. Computer recording enthusiasts will want to exploit the USB 2.0 connectivity provided by POD X3 for multi-channel recording as well as its S/PDIF Stereo Digital Audio Output for sending an ultra-clean signal to their DAW. While commanding the studio with the classically styled POD X3, you’ll be outfitted with even more of the flexibility and timeless tones that have made POD the global standard for the discriminating guitarist. Quite simply, there has never been an amp modeller with this much sheer firepower. The awesome amp arsenal in POD X3 boasts a whopping 78 guitar amps and 24 guitar cabinets, from boutique beauties to screaming monsters, along with 28 bass amp models and 22 bass cabinet models. With the new POD X3 Dual Tone processing, you can double your trouble by running through two amp rigs simultaneously, pairing any of the rumbling amp models in POD X3 for new and adventurous hybrids. And, the POD X3 uses Line 6's A.I.R. II microphone modelling to give you four mic options (with control of mic positioning and room bleed) for every single cab. Bass players can combine any of the 28 badass bass amp and 22 bass cab models with any one of its killer studio-grade mic preamps, high-end compressors and super-cool stompboxes. Better yet, why not use Dual Tone processing to run up to nine of those stompboxes and studio processors on each of your two simultaneous bass rigs . . . in stereo! Now that’s lowdown and dirty. . . Singers can run their studio microphone into the XLR input and take advantage of the warm and rich suite of mic preamp and compressor models provided by POD X3. Adding a touch of top-quality vintage spring or digital reverb will put that professional touch on all your best songs. Perform live using POD X3 Dual Tone processing to turn your POD X3 into both a vocal processor/preamp (via XLR input) and a guitar amp modeler/effector (via 1/4-inch input), and simply send a single stereo pair to the house as you sing and play your sensitive heart out! While you’re at it, why not a route a drum machine or sampler to the Auxiliary input for a little backing beat? Bass Amplifier Models based on: 1. Ampeg SVT 2. Ampeg B-15A 3. Eden Traveler WT-300 4.
