A Yamaha Pianos & Chappell of Bond Street Promotional Recital
Please join us on Thursday 8th December at 1pm at our Wardour Street store to hear the pianist Yasmin Rowe (RNCM) in recital.
Presented in association with Yamaha pianos, these recitals provide a wonderful opportunity for highly gifted young artists to perform at a superb venue as well as offering an insight into the extraordinary wealth of talent being nurtured in our conservatoires. And there are few better opportunities to hear Yamaha’s stunning handcrafted Premium Pianos played at concert level in the UK.

Yasmin Rowe - (Piano): Yasmin Rowe was born in 1989 and grew up in Yapton, a small village in West Sussex and started learning the piano with her mother at the age of four. She won her first major prize at the age of ten, where she was presented with the title of Arun Young Musician of the Year.
From 2005, Yasmin studied at Chetham’s School of Music learning piano with Bernard Roberts. In 2006 she was invited to perform for a function hosted by Princess Anne at the State Apartments in St James’ Palace.
In 2008 Yasmin was delighted to win the EPTA UK competition and the Moray International Piano Competition and in 2009, she won first prize in the Sevenoaks Young Musician of the Year.
Yasmin was the winner of the 2009-2010 Charlotte Kennedy Memorial Award, the Peter Donohoe piano award at the RNCM and the Martin Musical Scholarship Fund for 2010-2011.
Yasmin also enjoys an extensive touring record, ranging from Melbourne, Australia to Toronto, Canada and Lima, South America to name a few.
She was recently awarded the ‘Making Music Young Artists Award’ and was presented with a two-year contract for recitals and concertos around the UK. In 2011/12, some of Yasmin’s engagements include her debut at the Wigmore Hall, Steinway Hall, a recital in the Isle of Man, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, St. James Piccadilly, and St. Martin-in-the-fields with her duo partner, Yelian He.
Having graduated recently from the RNCM with first class honours, she is looking forward to beginning her Masters degree in September with support from the Musicians Benevolent Fund.

This performance is free of charge and will take place in the Recital Room of Yamaha Artist Services Europe (London), situated within the historic Piano Hall at Chappell of Bond Street’s West End store.
