A Yamaha Pianos & Chappell of Bond Street Promotional Recital
Please join us on Thursday 16th February 2012 at 1pm at our Wardour Street store to hear the pianist Anamaria Alexandra Vaduva (RAM) in recital.
Presented in association with Yamaha pianos, these recitals provide a wonderful opportunity for highly gifted young artists to perform at a superb venue as well as offering an insight into the extraordinary wealth of talent being nurtured in our conservatoires. And there are few better opportunities to hear Yamaha’s stunning handcrafted Premium Pianos played at concert level in the UK.

Anamaria Alexandra Vaduva - (Piano): Born in 1991, Alexandra started her musical education when she was 4 years old in Romania with the teacher Doina Olteteanu. Since then she has won numerous national and international competitions such as the Vienna International Piano Competition 2011 which led to the opportunity of having a full recital at Eroica Saal in Vienna in 2012, the Beethoven Piano Competition (2011), Else Cross Modern Piano Competition (2011), Carl Filtsch International Piano Competition (2008), Pro Piano Competition and many others.
Alexandra has participated in master classes led by famous teachers and pianists such as Stephen Hough, Pascal Devoyon, Jerome Rose, John O’Conor, Joanna Macgregor, Yevgheny Sudbin, Galina Eguiazarova, Claudion Martinez Mehner, Petras Geniusas.
Alexandra’s recent activities include the concert dedicated to Steve Reich’s 75th birthday where she performed the Variations for 2 pianos, vibraphones and string quartets, conducted by Neil Percy at the Royal Academy of Music, London. Alexandra is a recipient of a number of scholarships including support from the Solti Foundation.
Alexandra’s main future engagements are the interpretation of the Concerto for piano and wind orchestra by Stravinsky with the Royal Academy of Music Orchestra, conducted by Keith Bragg (February 2012),a solo recital at the YAMAHA Lunchtime Conservatoire Concert Series (February 2012), a piano duo concert with Florian Mitrea (January 2012), Beethoven’s Clarinet Trio during the Beethoven series held at the Royal Academy (February 2012) and York Bowen Fantasy for Viola and Piano with the violist Ugne Tiskute (January – February 2012) during the “British Viola” series also held at the Royal Academy of Music.
Alexandra is currently in her third undergraduate year studying with Diana Ketler at the Royal Academy of Music.
This performance is free of charge and will take place in the Recital Room of Yamaha Artist Services Europe (London), situated within the historic Piano Hall at Chappell of Bond Street’s West End store.
