Please join us on Thursday 31st May 2012 at 1pm at our Wardour Street store to hear the pianist Lucie Czajkowská (TLCMD) in recital.
 
Presented in association with Yamaha pianos, these recitals provide a wonderful opportunity for highly gifted young artists to perform at a superb venue as well as offering an insight into the extraordinary wealth of talent being nurtured in our conservatoires. And there are few better opportunities to hear Yamaha’s stunning handcrafted Premium Pianos played at concert level in the UK.

The Artist:
 
Lucie Czajkowská - (Piano): Born in the Czech Republic. At present she is a student of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London where she works with Eugene Asti. Her first major achievement was the first prize in the „Talentinum competition“ 1998 within the international music festival „Concentus Moraviae“. From that time, she has successfully taken part in many Czech and international piano competitions.
 
She was the prize-winner of the „Prague Junior Note“ piano competition three times (1998, 2000, 2001). She won the second prize in the „Competition of the Czech Conservatories 2004“ in Pardubice.
 
In 2008 Lucie Czajkowská won the „International music competition citta´di Padova“ in Italy and in 2O1O was awarded first prize in the International competition in San Bartolomeo. Her performance of the Ravel Piano Concerto in G major with the Symphony Orchestra of the Brno Conservatory was broadcasted live by the Czech Radio.
 
She performs chamber music as well. In a piano duo, she won „Dvořák´s Lipník“ competition and „Interfórum talentov“ in Bratislava, both in 2000. In „Per quattro mani“ in Prague (1999) and „Schubert Piano Duo Competition“ in Jeseník (2003) she was awarded second prize. At present she regularly performs with „Kongold Quartet“. Their performance of Schumann´s Piano Quintet was broadcasted by the Czech broadcasting station „Vltava“. 
 
She also attended masterclasses with Eugen Indjic, Arkady Zenziper, Awner Arad and Michail Dubov.

This performance is free of charge and will take place in the Recital Room of Yamaha Artist Services Europe (London), situated within the historic Piano Hall at Chappell of Bond Street’s West End store. 
 
Final admittance to each recital is 12.55pm.
