The Guild D-140CE Black acoustic-electric guitar is a performance-driven dreadnought acoustic guitar that combines premium tonewoods, modern features, and striking visual style. Part of Guild’s acclaimed D-140 series, this professional acoustic-electric guitar features a high-gloss black finish, contrasted by white binding and elegant mother-of-pearl inlays in the rosette and headstock for a bold, stage-ready look.

Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid African mahogany back and sides, the D-140CE delivers a full-bodied, powerful tone with strong projection, clear highs, warm lows, and balanced voicing. Scalloped bracing enhances resonance and dynamic response, while the rosewood fingerboard and bridge contribute to sustain, tonal depth, and durability. The comfortable dreadnought body shape ensures versatility for both strumming and fingerstyle playing.

Equipped with a Fishman® GT-1 pickup system with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, this acoustic-electric guitar provides natural, studio-quality amplification for live performance and recording. Premium components such as a bone nut and compensated bone saddle ensure accurate intonation and reliable performance. Additional features include Guild Vintage 18 open-gear tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio for precise tuning, Ivoroid binding, a mother-of-pearl rosette, and the iconic Chesterfield headstock emblem inspired by 1960s Guild models.
