Designed with a slimmed-down 2.4” body thickness, inward-shifted neck, short 30 ¾” scale length, and a 1 ½” nut width, this compact semi-hollow bass is comfortable to play and ideal for players seeking greater freedom on stage or a more manageable instrument.
Built for both performance and tone, the Starfire I Bass features a Tune-o-matic bass bridge for stable tuning and easy adjustment, while the classic harp tailpiece adds a vintage-inspired aesthetic reminiscent of traditional upright bass design. Equipped with Guild’s BC-1 BiCoil pickups, this hollowbody bass delivers a wide tonal range—from modern, articulate tones to warm, rounded vintage sounds. The Alnico 5 magnets and hum-resistant nickel covers ensure clarity, depth, and low noise performance.
A push-pull vintage switch on the volume knob adds extra tonal flexibility, reducing low-end frequencies for a more defined, vintage-style response similar to classic parallel pickup configurations.
Available in Pelham Blue and Vintage Walnut with maple construction, or Cherry Red with mahogany top, back, and sides, this gloss-finished bass also comes in a left-handed option.
