Guild D-40 Traditional Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar

The Guild D-40 Traditional acoustic guitar captures the premium features that have made the D-40 one of Guild’s most iconic and sought-after dreadnought models. Built with a high-grade solid Sitka spruce top and solid African mahogany back and sides, Guild enhances this professional acoustic guitar with scalloped Adirondack bracing for exceptional power, tonal nuance, and dynamic responsiveness.

The D-40 Traditional’s three-piece mahogany and walnut neck is paired with an Indian rosewood fingerboard and joined to the body using a traditional dovetail joint for superior resonance and sustain. This classic dreadnought acoustic is elegantly appointed with a tortoiseshell pickguard, rosette, and binding, along with a genuine mother-of-pearl Guild Peak and Chesterfield logo inlaid on the headstock, complemented by nickel-plated open-gear tuners. A high-quality nitrocellulose lacquer finish completes this premium USA-made acoustic guitar, enhancing both the visual beauty and tonal performance of its solid tonewoods.

Each D-40 Traditional acoustic guitar includes a hand-signed, numbered certificate of authenticity and ships with a Guild humidified hardshell case for protection and storage. Available in Natural or Antique Sunburst finish options. Proudly handcrafted in the USA*.
