Guild D-20E Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar
The Guild D-20E acoustic-electric guitar is a premium dreadnought acoustic guitar that combines classic all-mahogany construction with modern performance features. Handcrafted in the USA, the D-20E delivers a warm, woody tone with strong midrange presence, thanks to its solid African mahogany top, back, and sides.
This professional acoustic-electric guitar is equipped with an L.R. Baggs® Element VTC pickup system, offering natural, studio-quality amplification for live performance and recording. Built with a traditional Guild dreadnought body shape, the D-20E provides excellent projection, balance, and versatility for a wide range of playing styles. The mahogany C-shape neck is paired with a smooth Indian rosewood fingerboard, ensuring comfortable playability and responsive feel.
Additional premium features include an Indian rosewood bridge, compensated bone saddle, and bone nut for improved sustain and intonation. Finished in a natural satin nitrocellulose lacquer, this USA-made acoustic guitar enhances resonance while showcasing the beauty of its solid tonewoods. Classic appointments such as a tortoiseshell pickguard, ABS rosette, and Guild Peak headstock inlay complete the vintage-inspired aesthetic. High-quality Guild Deluxe open-gear tuners with cream oval buttons provide reliable tuning stability, and each guitar includes a Guild deluxe humidified hardshell case for safe storage and transport.

Features
L.R. BAGGS ELEMENT VTC PICKUP SYSTEM
The D-20E Natural includes a factory-installed L.R. Baggs Element VTC pickup system with Volume and Tone controls that faithfully reproduces the guitar’s acoustic sound when amplified or recorded. By detecting soundboard movement rather than picking pressure, the pickup captures the full and balanced tone of the guitar while eliminating the high-frequency "quack" typical of undersaddle pickups. The Volume and Tone controls are positioned nearly out of sight under the top edge of the soundhole, along with the built-in low-frequency compressor (the “C” in VTC), which reduces boominess and feedback. The system is powered by an internally located 9-volt battery.
